Just a few quick notes regarding suspended Junior Legion playoff games :
#1 - Umpires are to be paid according to contract and agreement made during the season. Umpires get half fee for the portion of the game that was started and not completed because of weather. When the game is resumed it is $8 an inning with a minimum of $30 and a maximum of full pay $50.
#2 - The game is to be picked up where it left off including all previous substitutions. Also if a player was not at the game when the game was suspended but is at the game when it resumes he CAN be used regardless of whether he was on the lineup card. This is per major league rules.
Junior Legion is not using the extra hitter during the playoffs. Please review the playoff document on the Junior Legion page.
CM is requesting an Official ScoreKeeper for the CM State Tournament.
Tournament starts Thursday 22 July Through 1 August 2010.
All games are at Bryfogle Park, Lehigh Township.
A small per game fee will be paid to the scorekeeper.

MISSION STATEMENT OF THE BETHLEHEM UMPIRES ASSOCIATION
"THE BUA IS A PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION THAT PROVIDES ITS MEMBERSHIP WITH UMPIRING OPPORTUNITIES AND IDENTIFIES THE MEMBERS RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE VARIOUS BASEBALL/SOFTBALL LEAGUES THAT IT REPRESENTS. THE BUA WILL EDUCATE ITS MEMBERS ON THE PROPER METHODS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE DUTIES REQUESTED OF BUA MEMBERS FROM THE VARIOUS LEAGUES THAT CONTRACT WITH THE BUA. THE BUA WILL POLICE ITS MEMBERS TO GUARANTEE THAT THE MISSION STATEMENT IS ADHERED TO. THROUGH THE ACTIONS OF THE BUA, MEMBERS WILL BENEFIT BY OPERATING UNDER THE CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENTS PROCURED FROM EACH LEAGUE FOR SERVICES THAT WILL BE RENDERED. THESE BENEFITS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, PAY SCALE, PAYMENT GUARANTEES, COORDINATED SCHEDULING, GRIEVANCE SETTLEMENTS, ETC. THE BUA IS COMMITTED TO UPHOLD ALL POSITIVE ATTRIBUTES AND INTEGRITY OF THE GAME OF BASEBALL."
