Sign-Up's
All Umpires must register EVERY YEAR with the PA Legion organization. Legion Registration: https://baseball.pa-legion.com/
All Umpires must wear a Legion Shirt and Legion Hat.
You will be fined by American Legion if you do not wear the proper shirt and Hat.
Unique Rules - 2018:
COURTESY RUNNER: League will NOT use courtesy runners from this point on this year.
FAKE TAG: LVJLBL does not have a penalty for a fake tag. It is not to be considered obstruction.
MERCY RULE: Lehigh Valley Junior Legion Mercy Rule - The league shall utilize a 15 runs after 4 innings and 10 runs after 5 innings mercy rule. The home team will bat if they are the team trailing in any inning.
Process
2 days before game - contact the coach to verify location & time AND reach out to your PARTNER to confirm location for parking, shirt color, etc.
Rain - reach out to the coach and confirm field conditions - keep lines of communication open.
